Summer is here and while everyone is still observing the Holy Month, many are already planning their holidays when Ramadan finishes. Most users usually search the internet and scour for the best guides, but few realize that your smartphone is the best way to guide your on these travels.

Here’s a rundown of some of our favorite travel apps.

Google Trips – This app can compile all your personal travel information saved on your emails or you can manually enter them. From there, Google Trips can map out an itinerary of things to see and do and sets reminders of whether your flight is coming up. All of this is presented in a simple interface that’s easy to use – and the best part? You can view all these information offline. Just make sure to download them when you’re connected.

Booking.com – Probably one of the most popular hotel booking service, Booking.com lets you search for the cheapest hotels and accommodations in an easy to use interface. The good thing is that when you make a booking, you have the option to select a free cancellation meaning that if you change your mind the last minute on your hotel booking, this means that you won’t get charged for anything.

TripIt – One of my favorite travel apps, TripIt organizes your trips right from your flights, hotel details and even the various places you are planning to visit. You can simply email your itinerary to a specified email and TripIt will automatically organize it. You can customize it of course, and even add more details so that you don’t need to bring all those papers and documents – just your smartphone is enough.

Flight Stats – Knowing the exact details of a flight is essential to any traveler. Flight Stats lets you enter your flight details on the app, and it will give you information about gate numbers and terminals along with notes if your flight is delayed or on time. It can even show detailed flight paths for each plane that’s flying at the moment.

Google Translate – Unarguably one of the most useful apps I’ve come across, Google Translate not only lets you translate from English up to 103 languages. It can even use your camera and translate the words that it sees. More than 52 languages can be saved and used offline, and it even supports handwriting support for languages that need it.
