As the interest for esports is quickly getting momentum, ROG Masters 2017 is bringing in teams in KSA and the UAE to compete in various tournaments to help see the potential of esports.

This year, organizer Republic of Gamers (ROG) is ramping up the fierceness of the competition by packing the schedule with esports legends – teams with countless victories and championships between them – as well as fine tuning the competition format. Drawing on the company’s presence worldwide, a global panoply of Country Qualifiers, Open Regionals and Regional Finals will find the most passionate, practiced players the esports scene has to offer and connect continents in a way that has rarely been seen in the history of esports competition.

Phase 1 of the Asus ROG Masters tournament includes hosting two offline qualifiers. The first one was held in KSA last 28th and 29th of July at Gamenet Jeddah, followed by the UAE on the 3rd and 4th of August at Hub Zero Dubai. The prize pool for all Middle East qualifiers is a combined AED 40’000, and winners from all qualifiers will then compete in the Middle East Finals on August 5th at the PLG Studio in Dubai, UAE, to crown one CS:GO and DOTA 2 team which will continue to the Open Regional Qualifiers for the EMEA region. The winners of the EMEA contests advance to Phase 2 alongside top teams from the APAC and Americas regions, to the online Regional Qualifiers. Out of all the proven national greats taking part at this stage, only one Dota 2 team and one CS:GO team will emerge victorious from each region.
