It’s Global Accessibility Awareness Day – here’s how Apple is celebrating

Apple Stores are today celebrating Global Accessibility Day by offering a series of Accessibility Basics sessions across all stores in the UAE and its other store globally. The Accessibility sessions are a great way for people to discover the basics of using assistive technologies that are built into Apple’s products.

Additionally, Apple has just released a series of special YouTube videos to support this great event. These powerful films beautifully depict the impact accessible tech has on people’s lives when you design for everyone - including people with a range of disabilities. From staying fit using Apple Watch wheelchair workouts (Andrea Dalzell), to creating the next hit Metal album with his band (Carlos Vasquez), people are empowered to do what they love. This affects more people than you may realize - 1 in 7 people, or a billion people in the world are living with some sort of disability (WHO).
