As Google prepares for its Pixel 2 keynote tonight, there another interesting piece of information that came up regarding how third party accessories will be made for Google devices.

Sources claim that a new hardware certification process named ‘Made for Google’ will also be launched tonight that will offer third party manufacturers to get the seal of approval from Google.

Similar to Apple’s Made for iPhone, it will certify accessories such as chargers, cases and even speakers that would let consumers know that will give users assurance that these products will work with their Google devices. Certification normally follows strict guidelines like the type of material it uses or if will work flawlessly with Google’s products.

More details should be unveiled at tonight’s keynote, so stay tuned for our live coverage.
