It won’t be Vertu without the ridiculous pricing.
The name Vertu always gets associated with expensive premium smartphones, which focus more on design rather than the specifications. Their current Constellation line, dubbed as ‘The Luxury Performance Smartphone’, has just been updated to beefier specifications – though it’s price tag is still something we can’t agree on.
The new Vertu Constellation features a new 5.5-inch Quad HD display with a 12-megapixel camera powered by the new Snapdragon 820 processor with 4 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage. It will also have a 3220 mAh battery (with support for wireless charging), stereo speakers and ditches micro USB for USB Type-C. Like all current smartphones, this one will also support a fingerprint sensor. You’d expect a smartphone like this to be updated with the most current operating system, but the Constellation will only be running on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow.
But the premium smartphone get its price from how it is designed – the Constellation is handmade in England and will have a polished display made from sapphire lined with the finest leathers you can find. It will also feature a ruby key on the side that will let you connect to a 24-hour concierge service that will help you on just about anything.
As mentioned, pricing is not yet available, but you can register your interest on Vertu’s website if you are interested in getting one.
