According to recent statements made by Motorola at MWC, we can expect to see the successor to the Moto X by later this summer.
As you’ve probably noticed by now, MWC isn’t just about releasing the latest mobile devices as well as prototypes of those under way, major companies have faced some questions to their upcoming devices. When Motorola was asked on Twitter when its next device after the Moto X should appear, the company hinted that it would be in late summer.
However, there weren’t enough details in the message to confirm if that meant that the company would actually release the handset or just give more information about it.
Many have been skeptical about what to expect following the recent Lenovo acquisition of Motorola. Rumors continue to rise that the production of Motorola’s cheaper smartphones, like the Moto X, could stop after the company’s purchase.
Although, Motorola has also implied that it would not raise its prices as a result of Lenovo’s acquisition. Moreover, Motorola stated that it’s not likely to move away from Android either.
The Moto X was released last year as the company’s flagship smartphone meant to stand up against the Samsung Galaxy S4, iPhone 5 and others of their liking.
