Hours before we get to see Huawei’s new Mate 10, Razer has just announced that it will be joining the smartphone market with its own device. Due to be announced on November 1st, the smartphone will likely be centered for gamers – though we don’t know exactly which features it will have.

The ‘Razer Phone’ (that’s what we’ll call it for now) will most likely use technology from Nextbit, a company that it had acquired a few months earlier. Nextbit’s smartphone design might influence the Razer Phone, which featured a box-type design and the signature black and green colors typical of all Razer devices.

Specifications-wise, the device will follow the same internals as most current flagships. This include a Snapdragon 835 CPU with 64 GB of storage and even a massive 8 GB of RAM. There’s a 5.7-inch WQHD screen as well as dual cameras at the back.

The device will likely run Android, though we don’t know yet what type of customizations Razer is planning to introduce. But it will definitely be interesting how Razer will implement gaming-centric features on its smartphone.
