Launched in conjunction with Dubai Aquarium & Underwater Zoo and Wevr, VRZOO showcases endangered species in an interactive, fun and educational experience.
Emaar Entertainment has just launched a new interactive attraction that will bring guests face-to-face with endangered species using VR. Called ‘VRZOO’, the new attraction aims to focus on awareness and other conservation efforts by allowing guests to immerse themselves in the world of these animals through VR. The 360-degree tours include locations such as Uganda, South Africa, Maldives, Egypt, Australia and Mafia Island. VR studio Wevr has also customized the VR experience ‘theBlu’ as part of the VRZOO experience.
HTC is providing the necessary VR equipment needed for the experience. There will be booths equipped for the 360-degree and interactive experiences all powered by the HTC Vive. The HTC Vive is HTC's own VR platform that the company developed in cooperation with games developer Valve.
Maitha Al Dossari, Chief Executive Officer of Emaar Entertainment, said: “Emaar Entertainment is committed to providing visitors of all ages with interactive edutainment experiences. VRZOO is the latest addition, designed to broaden the mind and provide deeper connections to the world around us, using informative and interactive platforms. VRZOO demonstrates our commitment to education as we work toward a safe and more informed future for animals and humans alike.”
VRZOO will cost you only 30 AED for the 360-degree experience and 50 AED for the complete VR experience. VRZOO is located near the Dubai Aquarium and Underwater Zoo at the Dubai Mall.
