This is 2016’s most illegally downloaded movie

The Ryan Reynolds starrer Deadpool which was released in February of 2016 is the year’s most illegally downloaded movie. This is according to a report published by Torrent Freak.

While the movie set box office records and is one of the few R-rated movies to make a lot of money (earning almost $800 million), the immense popularity of the character and its no-holes-barred depiction of violence which the character is known for may have helped make it one of the most anticipated movies to be released last year – and also the most illegally downloaded.
