Kyocera’s new smartphone can be washed with soap and water

Probably the one feature that matters.

It’s a known fact that smartphones are dirty pieces of hardware and a recent statistic showed that smartphones could be even dirtier than normal. That is why Kyocera is releasing a smartphone that you can literally wash with soap and water whenever it gets dirty.

The Rafre, as what it’s being called, includes resistance from water and soap – meaning that you can give it a good scrubbing and still be able to use it much like a normal smartphone. This resistance to fluids also make tougher than your usual water-resistance smartphone. Even the touchscreen works well even when it is wet.

The Rafre will run Android Nougat and will come with a 13-megapixel camera and a 3000 mAh battery. The only drawback? The device will only be available in Japan.
