Apple confirms it.

It looks like Pokémon Go is claiming more records days after its release date. The app is only available in select countries so far, but it has managed to break the record of the most App Store downloads during its first week of availability.

Additionally, it was reported that Pokémon Go could generate up to $3 billion for Apple’s App Store if it continues its trend. Pokémon Go is a free download, but various in-app purchases are available – which has already earned more than $35 million since its launch.

Pokémon Go is officially not available in the UAE and the rest of the Middle East at the moment, but that did not stop fans in the region from installing it on their smartphones with various workarounds.
