Bring out the driver in your with this awesome accessory.

Racing wheels are mostly for more serious gamer that want more action from their console game. With the Logitech G920, that’s exactly what it does – the $400 racing wheel made for the Xbox One and the PC brings the driver seat right into your living room and as from the weeks we’ve spent with it, it’s actually one of the best gaming accessories we’ve used in a while.

Out of the box you’re greeted with two main accessories: the G920 steering wheel and pedal set that includes a clutch, pedal and a break. Logitech is also selling a separate $60 driving force shifter for a more realistic gaming experience.

The G920 is made from high-quality leather, reminiscent of that new car you’ve always wanted to drive. A bulk of the main controls are located on the center of the wheel, with familiar controls like the D-pad and the A, B, X and Y buttons located on either side. Any Xbox One user should be able to use the G920 without any hassles.

Behind the G920’s wheel is the shifter paddles that work as your left and right bumpers. Mounting clamps are also located below the wheel so you can easily attach them on a strong foundation like a wooden table.

Below the wheel is where all the connections are housed. It is where you can connect the pedal set and the shifter. A USB cable runs along the device that you connect directly to the Xbox One.

The wheel itself has special mechanics built behind it: it was made with steel ball bearings that also provide force feedback. This gives the wheel a more realistic feedback especially when doing intensive racing games.

Even the pedals feel realistic, close to a real vehicle. The pedals are all made from stainless steel and even the break requires you to firmly step on it for more effective braking – just like in real life.

I’ve been playing Forza Horizon 3 the past months and it seems that it is the best fit to use the G920. A few tinkering with the settings making sure that you get the right configuration that you want would get you the best possible results. The game even offer a plethora of adjustable configurations for you to play around.

When I started playing – I was literally blown away on how accurate the G920 is. I’ve raced around various places and with each bump or hit that happens to my car, the G920 accurately gives the right feedback. Even the wheel tumbles and locks in a way that would resemble driving in real life. It gave a far more immersive experience playing racing games compared to using a standard controller.

Logitech also mentioned the following games will be compatible with the G920:

Price-wise, the G920 isn’t cheap, almost costing as much as new console and that’s without the driving force shifter included. But its price is definitely worth it considering how well the G920 performed with our tests. If you’re serious about racing games, the Logitech G920 is one accessory that you should have.
