Apple has inadvertently let slip the existence of its next-generation iPad, Apple TV and iPhone devices with a section of code within the beta version of iOS 5.1 confirming the upcoming hardware.
Having been released to developers in the past few days ahead of a widespread rollout to iDevice owners as a whole in the coming months, the iOS 5.1 Beta has outed the existence of Apple’s next key product developments with the iPhone 5 and iPad 3 both teased.
Less than two months since the official iPhone 4S release the section of code within the iOS 5.1 Beta has made reference to the iPhone 5,1, a device expected to land as the long mooted iPhone 5. Similarly the replacement iPad has been given a premature arrival with the iPad 3,2 and iPad 3,3 (Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi plus 3G) both mentioned.
Expected to be the next big product unveiling from the Cupertino company the third-generation iPad tablet has been tipped as being readied for launch with a bevy of premium tech innards with a 9.7-inch Retina Display and a remodelled form factor topping the list of potential inclusions.
Further expected iPad 3 specs include an improved camera offering, both front and back. Based on Apple’s track record an iPad 3 release date is expected around March or April of 2012.
