Nintendo Wii U new features video [CES 2012]

Nintendo's showcased new features of Wii U at CES 2012, with controller panoramic view mode enhancing game views.

After the official Nintendo Wii U demo at E3 last June, many gamers were left confused as to what will gaming be like on the upcoming console.

However, Ninty took to CES 2012 to officially demo the features of the Wii U controller.

AS you can see iin the video, the screen on the Wii U panoramic controller can be used as "another window" onto the game scene. You can look around freely for more awareness independently from the main screen view.

Scenarios we could imagine making use of this include mounting a turret on a moving vehicle, or aiming using a sniper scope by moving the controller.

Nintendo Wii U Features

So Wii U's 5-inch display-touting controller offer panoramic views in selected games, whilst the user's TV setup provides the standard front-facing static view.

Capable of 1080p Full HD gaming, the Nintendo Wii U plans to expand the motion gaming market pioneered with the original Wii with just a single tech-filled (and presumably pricey) controller.

Is the Nintendo Wii U the next big console or a confusing collaboration of dated and unnecessary features? Take your stab in the comment space below.
