Nokia Lumia 900 4G (LTE) phone revealed at CES 2012

The rumours were true: Nokia have just announced the Lumia 900 with 4G LTE, Carl Zeiss cam and what looks to be a gorgeous 4.3-inch AMOLED screen

US consumers are getting a treat from Nokia as the Finnish company has just unveiled its latest creation: The Nokia Lumia 900 smartphone with support for AT&T’s brand new 4G LTE network.

The Windows phone sports a similar design to the Nokia N9 and Lumia 800 models with a sleek polycarbonate body, but the screen now offers a massive 4.3 inches of ClearBlack AMOLED yumminess. Lumia 900 gets its grunt from a fast 1.4-gigahertz processor, and initially it’ll be available in black and cyan.

The phone is designed for rich media experiences: it has an 8-megapixel Carl Zeiss optics camera with an F.2.2 aperture lens and 28mm focal length. Oh, and there’s also a front-facing f/2.4 wide-angle lens that's great for wide-angle shots.

Asked if Nokia is worried about battery life, considering the power-hungry nature of the current crop of 4G LTE modems, Nokia’s CEO, Stephen Elop, said that the Lumia 900 should offer a vastly improved experience compared to the first wave of LTE-enabled phones that hit the US market last year.

Sadly, it looks as though the Lumia 900 is a U.S-only device headed exclusively to AT&T within the next couple of months, but hopefully we’ll see a similar model reaching Middle-Eastern and Arabian stores in the not too distant future.
