Panasonic Eluga Android phone confirmed

The Panasonic Eluga has been confirmed as the first smartphone that Panasonic will launch in Europe and will come touting a 4.3 inch screen and possibly Ice Cream Sandwich.

We reported a while ago on Pansonic's upcoming smartphone, and now March's in the door, and so is the said phone.

While specs are yet to be confirmed it is believed the phone will sport a 4.3 OLED qHD screen, it'll also feature a super-slim D-shaped design which is definitely in keeping with the current trends as demonstrated by the slinky Samsung Galaxy S2.

The Eluga: Slim and Seductive

That super-slim design will also be dustproof and waterproof making it certainly more 'life-proof'. It's also confirmed that it'll be running Android, and while Panasonic has yet to confirm which version of Google's OS will drive its new blower, it's almost certain that it'll be Ice Cream Sandwich.

No word on hardware yet, but this could be something that'll be making an appearance at Mobile World Congress 2012.

What do you think, will Panasonic bring competition with the likes of Samsung and Apple? It sure has the potential, if you come to us. And that can only be a good thing for Android lovers.
