Rockstar Games confirms GTA III iOS and Android release date and price with the infamous game to hit mobile devices on December 15th priced at $4.5

Grand Theft Auto developer Rockstar Games has revealed that its now infamous GTA III will make the jump to mobile platforms next week with the mayhem causing title to hit iOS and Android devices.

A game often associated with bad press and violence, Grand Theft Auto III will hit a host of Android devices and Apple’s lineup of portable tech in the coming days with a GTA III app release set for December 15th.

Compatible with both the original Apple tablet and the iPad 2 as well as the iPhone 4, iPhone 4S and most recent iPod Touch iterations, the GTA III iOS price has been set at a rather reasonable $4.5.

Given the same sub $5 price tag for its Android arrival, the mobile GTA III release will be compatible with a selection of Google powered smartphones and tablets such as the LG Optimus 2X handset, Samsung’s 8.9 and 10.1-inch Galaxy Tab tablets and the recently released Sony Tablet S.
