Initially announced during the Baselworld watch show, Fossil’s new third-generation smartwatches running on Android Wear is now available for pre-order. The Fossil Q Venture and Q Explorist come in a slimmer profile compared to its predecessor.

Initially announced during the Baselworld watch show, Fossil’s new third-generation smartwatches running on Android Wear is now available for pre-order. The Fossil Q Venture and Q Explorist come in a slimmer profile compared to its predecessor.

Running on Android Wear 2.0, Fossil’s smartwatches will have a Snapdragon Wear 2100 CPU along with 512 MB of RAM and 4 GB of storage. It’s also IP67 certified, meaning that it’s water resistant. There’s also the promise of an all-day battery life. Unfortunately, the smartwatches does not have a heart rate sensor.

Size-wise the Venture will have a 42 mm case size and will 11.5 mm thick while the Explorist will have a 44 mm case size and will be 12.6 mm thick. Prices for the Venture and the Explorist start at $255 and $275 respectively and will have various choices in bands.
