Intel yesterday official unveiled a new range of 8th-generation Intel Core processors just in time for the Middle East’s largest IT trade exhibition.

Utilizing the new Intel Z370 chipset that’s optimized for gamers and even overclockers, the new range will include a ‘K’ brand of unlocked CPUs and will also include the fastest Core i7 desktop processor along with a new 6-core Core i5 processor and the 4-core Core i3 variant.

But the star of the show is the new Intel Core i7-8700K, dubbed as Intel’s best processor for desktop gaming. It supports up to 4.7 GHz, which is the highest frequency you will find in the market at the moment.

True to that statement, a live demo was given to the members of the press that compared previous generation Intel Core processors against the current 8th-gen ones. The new processors were able to give consistent framerates above 54 fps all while doing a virus scan in the background, without any effect on CPU usage. These new CPUs are so fast, you can easily edit a 4K 360-degree video without your entire system hanging up.

Intel’s 8th-gen Core processors should start arriving in stores this month.
