HTC’s U11 flagship takes smartphone colors into Iridescence territory

Many shades of red indeed

There’s a lot of things that impresses about the HTC U11. Right from the Boom sound hi-fi, IP67 waterproofing, 5.5-inch, QHD panel and the optimized camera.

One element that could be crucial in getting the customer’s eye could be the rather brilliant color options on the HTC U11.

jcrop-previewHTC calls the surface on the device as glass liquid surface, but the technical term for it is Optical Spectrum Hybrid Deposition, something HTC introduced on the 10.

In terms of colors, the smartphone segment, gents, is stepping into iridescence territory. This is the phenomenon of certain surfaces that appear to gradually change colour as the angle of view. So take one of the HTC U11 colors on launch, the Brilliant Red. From one angle it may be a fiery red, bit take a different angle, and it becomes a classy gold shade.

jcrop-previewFor a brand that tends to pay attention to small details quite consistently, this is an interesting element thats set apart this flagship.
