While Google is still mum about its upcoming Pixel 2 smartphone, a new roundup of leaks might confirm that Google’s upcoming Pixel is also ditching the headphone jack. The leaked images seem to be an early development unit. The images were posted earlier by GSMArena.

While Google is still mum about its upcoming Pixel 2 smartphone, a new roundup of leaks might confirm that Google’s upcoming Pixel is also ditching the headphone jack. The leaked images seem to be an early development unit. The images were posted earlier by GSMArena.

Looks-wise there’s not much changes in terms of design and it looks like it mostly retains the design aspects of the earlier Google Pixel: cameras on top left corner along with the fingerprint sensor at the middle.

One noticeable omission is the headphone jack which could mean that all audio output will be directed at the USB-C port just like newer smartphones. The removal of the 3.5 mm audio jack also means that Google is also joining Apple and Motorola in ditching the legacy port.

Things could still change however and the final render might still include the legacy port.
