Kaspersky has always been known as one of top antivirus companies at the moment. Though the caveat is that their software usually needs a paid subscription (as with other antivirus software) but worry not since Kaspersky is now releasing a free version of their antivirus software.

Simply named Kaspersky Free www.kaspersky.com/free-antivirus, the free software has now started rolling out globally after more than a year of testing. It’s free, so there are limitations like the lack of VPN, Parental Controls and Online Payment Protection. But you’re still getting the same level of protection when it comes to the latest threats.

Kaspersky Free is now available in Russia, Ukraine, China, Finland, Sweden, Norway and Denmark. It should be available to users here in the Middle East in early September.

Nota Bena quickly summed up the features of the free version in a blog post. It mentioned that this particular version has all the bare essentials including antivirus for files, emails and the web. It also includes automatic updates and other quarantine options on infected devices including USB drives.

You can download Kaspersky Free on this link.
